Token option 1 – Tenant buys tokens from Landlord

We supply you (landlord) with tokens for your electricity or water meters.

Tokens can be supplied physically printed or tokens can be emailed.

Tokens have a R5 token fee for a R100 denomination . Landlords pay R5 for the token. Tenants pay the landlord R100 for that token. The token number when input into that respective meter will give the tenant R95 worth of electricity/water . (You recover the R5 token fee from the tenant)

You collect your money upfront in this way which you then use to pay the municipal bill at the end of the month.

No meter reading or splitting of bills. Tenants pay upfront.

Tenants are unlikely to run into rental arrears as they can only obtain electricity/ water tokens from the landlord.

Token option 2 –Tenant buys tokens from any EasyPay outlet

Tenant buys tokens directly from any EasyPayoutlet (most Shoprite, Checkers, PicknPay, etc). UniPIN vouchers (available from most petrol garages) can also be used.

15% fee charged to tenant. (If tenant asks for R100 token, R15 would be deducted as fees and a token number allowing your tenant R85 worth of electricity/water would be issued)

All token purchases for your meter, less applicable fees, are accumulated and transferred into your designated bank account once a month.

You collect your money upfront in this way which you then use to pay the respective municipal bill.

No meter reading or splitting of bills. Tenants pay upfront.

Landlords can instruct us to load arrears against a meter number . This would mean that the tenant must first pay the arrears, normally as a percentage , when tokens are purchased.
